Privacy Controls

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

Your choices

You can reopen the site’s cookie controls at any time and change optional preferences.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small pieces of information that websites can ask a browser to store. They are commonly used to keep a website functioning, remember choices, support security, measure use or help provide a more consistent experience across visits.

Websites can also use similar technologies that are not technically cookies. MatchSpotAR uses the term “cookies” in a broad sense where helpful to describe browser-based storage and preference technologies.

2. Browser Storage and localStorage

MatchSpotAR uses localStorage for certain functional choices. localStorage is a browser feature that lets a website save small values on your device so they can be read again during a later visit. Unlike a traditional cookie, the value does not need to be attached automatically to every network request.

At present, localStorage is used to remember whether the 18+ entry confirmation has been completed and to remember the cookie preferences selected through our privacy controls.

3. Necessary Storage

Necessary storage supports features that visitors request or that are required for the site's basic operation. Examples include remembering the age-gate decision, saving cookie settings, supporting security functions and maintaining essential interface state.

Necessary storage cannot be turned off through the cookie preferences panel because disabling it would prevent the website from remembering core choices. You can still remove site data using your browser controls, although doing so may cause the age gate or cookie banner to appear again.

4. Preference Technologies

Preference technologies can remember optional interface choices so that the site behaves more consistently when you return. Depending on future site features, this could include display preferences, language or other non-essential settings.

You can allow or reject the Preferences category in the cookie settings panel. Rejecting optional preferences should not prevent access to the main venue information on the website.

5. Analytics Technologies

Analytics can help us understand how people use MatchSpotAR.com, for example which pages are popular, how visitors navigate between sections, which device categories are used and where technical errors occur.

Where analytics are treated as optional under applicable privacy rules, they should be activated only when the Analytics category has been accepted. Analytics should be configured to collect no more information than reasonably necessary for website measurement and improvement.

6. Marketing Technologies

Marketing technologies can be used by websites to measure advertising, understand campaign performance or personalize promotional content. MatchSpotAR's cookie controls include a Marketing category so visitors can make a clear choice if such technologies are used.

Marketing storage is optional and can be rejected without preventing access to the venue website. MatchSpotAR does not use cookie consent as a condition for viewing ordinary site content.

7. Cookie Consent Banner

On a first visit, the cookie banner explains the available choices and provides controls to Accept All, Reject Optional or open Cookie Settings. Reject Optional keeps necessary storage active while leaving Analytics, Preferences and Marketing switched off.

Choosing Accept All saves consent for the optional categories shown in the settings panel. Choosing Cookie Settings allows a more granular decision.

8. Cookie Settings Panel

The settings panel lists Necessary, Analytics, Preferences and Marketing categories. Necessary remains enabled. The other categories can be turned on or off using the available switches, and the selection is stored when you choose Save Preferences.

You can reopen the settings panel from this Cookie Policy at any time by using the “Manage Cookie Preferences” button.

9. How Long Choices Are Stored

The duration of browser storage depends on the technology and its configuration. Session-based data may be removed when a browsing session ends, while persistent values can remain until they expire, are changed by the site or are deleted by the user.

The localStorage values used for age confirmation and cookie choices remain on the device until browser storage is cleared or the site's stored values are removed or updated.

10. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

A first-party cookie is associated with the website you are visiting. A third-party cookie may be set or read by another service integrated into the website. Third-party services can include analytics, maps, embedded media, communications tools or other providers.

If MatchSpotAR uses a third-party service that places optional cookies, the relevant category should respect the visitor's consent preference where required.

11. Third-Party Services

Independent service providers may have their own privacy and cookie rules. Their storage practices can differ from ours, including duration, purpose and the information processed. Where a third-party service is used, visitors should be able to review the provider's information where appropriate.

12. Embedded Content

Embedded maps, videos, social content or similar services can sometimes place cookies before a visitor directly interacts with them. Where such storage is optional and consent is required, the website should avoid activating it until the appropriate category has been accepted.

13. Managing Your Preferences

You can change your optional cookie choices at any time. Open Cookie Settings, adjust the switches and select Save Preferences. The new choices apply to future optional use by the website.

If you switch a category off after previously allowing it, the website will stop treating that category as permitted. Removing cookies or storage already created may also require using browser controls, depending on the technology involved.

14. Withdrawing Consent

Consent for optional categories can be withdrawn by changing the relevant switches to off and saving your preferences. Withdrawal does not normally affect processing that occurred lawfully before the preference was changed.

15. Browser Controls

Most modern browsers let you view, block and delete cookies or other site data. Controls are usually available in privacy, security or site-data settings. You may also be able to configure automatic deletion when the browser closes.

Blocking all browser storage may affect functionality. In particular, MatchSpotAR may be unable to remember age verification or cookie choices, causing those interfaces to be displayed again on later visits.

16. Private Browsing

Private or incognito browsing modes may limit how long cookies and localStorage remain available. When a private browsing session ends, stored choices may be cleared by the browser and need to be selected again later.

17. Security and Fraud Prevention

Some storage or technical signals may be necessary to protect the website, prevent abuse, manage traffic or support security. Security-related technologies are generally treated differently from optional analytics or marketing because they support essential operation and protection of the service.

18. Do Not Track and Similar Signals

Browser privacy signals and industry mechanisms continue to evolve. Where a legally recognized preference signal applies to a technology used by MatchSpotAR, we aim to take reasonable steps to respect the requirements associated with that signal.

19. Changes to the Technologies We Use

We may add, remove or reconfigure website technologies over time. If this materially changes how cookies or browser storage are used, this policy and the consent interface should be updated so visitors can understand the new purposes and choices.

20. Updates to This Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy may be revised to reflect changes in website features, privacy requirements or service providers. The current version will remain available at this URL and the update date will be changed when material revisions are made.
