Responsible Viewing & Gambling Awareness

Sports are here to be enjoyed. MatchSpotAR does not provide gambling services.

MatchSpotAR does not accept bets.

No sportsbook, casino, betting or gambling service is operated through this website or venue.

1. Our Position on Gambling

MatchSpotAR is a physical sports viewing venue. We bring adult fans together to watch sport, share food and drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere of major events on large screens. We do not operate a sportsbook, casino, betting exchange, lottery or any other gambling service.

MatchSpotAR does not accept wagers, hold betting balances, process gambling deposits or withdrawals, provide betting accounts, sell betting tips or offer bookmaker affiliate promotions. Sports viewing at MatchSpotAR is entertainment in its own right.

2. Responsible Viewing

A good match night should remain enjoyable regardless of the score. Fans can be passionate, but guests should respect other visitors, staff and the venue. Strong reactions to a game should never become harassment, intimidation, violence, property damage or unsafe behavior.

Take breaks, drink water, eat appropriately during long events and plan transport home in advance. If alcohol is part of your evening, keep consumption within personal limits and follow venue staff instructions.

3. Gambling Is Separate from MatchSpotAR

Some adults may independently choose to use licensed third-party gambling services away from MatchSpotAR. Any such choice is separate from our venue. We do not manage those accounts, control their terms, resolve their disputes or take responsibility for their products, promotions or outcomes.

The presence of a sporting event on our screens should not be interpreted as encouragement to place a bet on that event.

4. Gambling Should Be Treated as Paid Entertainment

If an adult chooses to gamble elsewhere, money used for gambling should be money they can afford to lose. Gambling should not be treated as a reliable way to earn income, solve financial problems or recover previous spending.

A useful personal rule is to decide on a fixed entertainment budget before any gambling begins and to stop when that limit is reached.

5. Set Spending Limits in Advance

Decide what you can afford before participating in gambling. The limit should come after rent, food, utilities, transport, debt repayments, savings commitments and other essential expenses.

Do not increase a planned budget because a game feels important, because friends are placing bets or because previous wagers have lost.

6. Set Time Limits

Gambling can consume more time than intended, particularly when sports fixtures continue throughout the day. Setting a clear end time can help prevent a short activity from turning into a long session that affects sleep, work or relationships.

7. Never Chase Losses

Chasing losses means continuing or increasing gambling in an attempt to win back money already lost. It can quickly increase financial harm because previous losses do not improve the odds of the next outcome.

If you feel pressure to recover money immediately, stop. A loss should not become a reason to place another wager.

8. Do Not Borrow Money to Gamble

Borrowing from friends, family, lenders or credit facilities to continue gambling can turn entertainment spending into a debt problem. Money required for bills or shared household expenses should never be redirected to gambling.

9. Avoid Gambling When Upset or Impaired

Decisions can become less controlled when a person is angry, stressed, exhausted or affected by alcohol or other substances. If judgement is impaired, avoid gambling and delay financial decisions until you are in a clearer state of mind.

10. Keep Sport Enjoyable Without a Wager

It is healthy to watch matches without needing a financial stake in the result. Try focusing on the sport itself, the atmosphere, conversation with friends, tactics, performances and the shared experience of the venue.

If a match no longer feels interesting unless money is involved, that can be a useful reason to take a break from gambling.

11. Protect Work, Study and Relationships

Gambling should not lead to missed work, skipped study, repeated lateness, secrecy, arguments or withdrawal from friends and family. When gambling begins to interfere with responsibilities or trusted relationships, it may be causing harm.

12. Watch for Financial Warning Signs

Warning signs can include spending beyond planned limits, using money intended for essentials, taking repeated cash advances, hiding transactions, borrowing to continue gambling or feeling unable to stop after losses.

Recognizing a warning sign early can make it easier to change behavior before the consequences become more serious.

13. Watch for Emotional Warning Signs

Gambling-related stress can appear as irritability, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, secrecy, guilt or constant preoccupation with odds and results. If gambling is affecting mood or daily life, reducing or stopping the activity may be appropriate.

14. Underage Gambling Is Prohibited

Gambling is not appropriate for minors. MatchSpotAR is intended for adults aged 18 and over and does not promote betting to underage visitors. Adults should not place bets on behalf of minors or allow minors to use adult gambling accounts.

15. Do Not Gamble on Behalf of Someone Else

Using another person's account, allowing another person to use your gambling account or placing wagers for someone who is not permitted to gamble can create legal, financial and safeguarding risks. Gambling accounts should be used only in accordance with the relevant operator's lawful terms.

16. Take Breaks

If gambling is becoming too frequent, consider a deliberate break. Turning off promotional notifications, removing gambling apps, unsubscribing from marketing and separating sports viewing from betting can help reduce impulsive decisions.

17. Use Limits and Exclusion Tools Where Available

Licensed gambling operators may provide tools such as deposit limits, loss limits, time reminders, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion. Adults who choose to gamble elsewhere should consider using available safeguards before problems develop.

18. Do Not Treat Tips as Guarantees

No prediction, influencer, tipster, statistic or past performance can guarantee a future sports result. Claims of certain wins or risk-free profits should be treated with caution.

MatchSpotAR does not provide betting tips, odds analysis or wagering recommendations.

19. Third-Party Gambling Services

Any gambling operator used by a visitor is independent from MatchSpotAR. We do not endorse a bookmaker simply because a visitor mentions it, uses it on a personal device or sees sports-related advertising elsewhere.

MatchSpotAR is not responsible for third-party deposits, withdrawals, account verification, bonuses, odds, suspended accounts, disputes, technical problems or gambling losses.

20. Advertising and Promotions

MatchSpotAR does not use this page to promote bookmakers or encourage wagering. We do not include betting affiliate links, bonus codes, odds comparisons or “bet now” calls to action.

21. Personal Devices at the Venue

Guests are responsible for how they use their own phones and accounts. Personal use of a lawful third-party service does not make MatchSpotAR a party to that activity. Guests must still follow venue rules and applicable law.

22. When Gambling Stops Being Entertainment

If gambling is causing debt, secrecy, repeated conflict, distress or difficulty stopping, it should be treated as a serious issue rather than normal sports entertainment. Consider speaking with someone you trust and seeking qualified support available in your jurisdiction.

If there is an immediate risk to safety or wellbeing, contact appropriate local emergency or professional support services.

23. Supporting Friends and Family

If you are concerned about someone else's gambling, focus on specific behavior and its impact rather than arguing about individual wins or losses. Encourage the person to use limits, take a break and seek appropriate professional advice if gambling is causing harm.

24. Responsible Alcohol Use and Gambling

Alcohol can reduce judgement and make financial decisions more impulsive. Guests who drink at MatchSpotAR should avoid making gambling decisions while impaired. Venue staff may refuse alcohol service when required by law or responsible-service practices.

25. MatchSpotAR Staff and Gambling Accounts

MatchSpotAR staff are not bookmaker support agents and cannot manage third-party betting accounts, deposits, withdrawals, verification checks, disputed bets or gambling balances. Those issues must be taken directly to the relevant independent operator.

26. Changes to This Information

We may update this page to keep our responsible-viewing principles clear and to reflect changes in venue policies or general awareness guidance. Updates do not change the central position: MatchSpotAR is a sports viewing venue and does not provide gambling services.

27. Contact MatchSpotAR

Questions about MatchSpotAR's venue policy can be sent to [email protected]. We can explain our own venue rules, but we do not provide betting advice or support for independent gambling accounts.
